The South Coast : Skógar and Skógafoss and Black Sand Beach We decided to skip the other half of the Golden Circle and head for the south coast drive which gets to Black Sand Beach which we’d heard about from the car rental guy. The drive onto the South Coast road took us to a huge set of falls visible from the highway -- Skógafoss -- where we stopped and wandered and gawked and took pictures and ate some excellent meat soup, also suggested by the car rental guy.
